A Whirlwind Two Weeks

It's been two weeks since I arrived in Japan, and it's been one thing after another... definitely more busy times than relax-and-see-Japan times.  Maybe that will come later, in a few weeks.

Farewell to the Bay

Just one week ago, I walked away from the blue-glass building of my job and said “hello” to the first day of a new life, as my friend so eloquently put it.

Initial Greetings

Amidst the various calls, texts, and emails I have going today as I try to coordinate the sale of more than half my apartment goods, I checked my mail and discovered a nice surprise:  a letter from my school in Japan!

Why: Blos·som & Japan

I'm sure at least one or two people will scratch their head a moment or two, considering the name chosen for this blog.  The meaning is two-fold and, as many of you know my love for subtlety, has a few underlying messages.

Going "Due North"... er, "East"

With papers strewn about on my desk and clutter in every corner of my studio apartment, preparation is underway for my move to Japan.  Somehow, amidst the mess, there is a sense of movement and change... I'm just not sure if it's an improvement yet...
